BECOME AN AMBASSADOR

Do you have an event idea that you’d like to see on the calendar? From simply sharing the idea through to organising the event in full, we’d love to hear from you.

To provide the most interesting and diverse calendar of activities, Outwood Social are always on the lookout for new event ideas and enthusiastic, passionate people to help host and organise events.

As a SOCIAL ENTERPRISE, without our Outwood Social ambassadors and volunteers, our community simply wouldn’t exist. As we continue to grow, so too does the support we need to keep our events calendar thriving. Find out more about our latest VOLUNTARY ROLES and how you can get involved below.

BECOME AN OUTWOOD AMBASSADOR

Be at the forefront by joining us at our ambassador monthly meets where we brainstorm new event ideas, discuss charity fundraising projects, and allocate tasks to the group.

Why not be an Event Host?
One of the best ambassador roles – attend events (for free), oversee the flow of the event, meet and greet the group, introduce them to the event instructor and help answer any questions.

Or a Walk Leader?
If you’re passionate about walking and would like to share your favourite paths with the group, why not lead a walk – from route planning, to arranging the meet point and leading on the day. Training is available.

VOLUNTARY ROLES

If you’re passionate about Outwood Social and are looking for something a little more structured, then why not join Leanne on our committee. We have FIVE new voluntary roles available. Click on each one to find out more.

Event Host

Here at Outwood Social we value all our members and volunteers. Each and every one makes a positive contribution to connecting our community, through their attendance at our events or volunteering support.

An ever-increasing membership means that we are working even harder to plan and host more events across Shropshire. To do this in a continuous and timely manner so that the range, frequency, and quality of what we offer our members is maintained, we are seeking some additional, voluntary support both “behind the scenes” and in a more prominent “front of house” role.

Volunteering is a wonderful way to share your skills and passions, as well as a way to make new friends while doing your bit. The smooth running of our group is powered by the amazing volunteers and ambassadors in our community, and without them it simply wouldn’t be possible.

Whilst each volunteering role has a specific remit, all Outwood ambassadors meet on a monthly basis to share updates, brainstorm new events ideas and work together to create an exciting calendar of events.
