PARTNER WITH US

Here at Outwood Social, we want everyone to benefit. That’s why we work in partnership with a wide range of independent businesses, activity instructors and experts, local employers and charities to craft a calendar of events that benefit everyone.

How we partner with you

We work with you from the start. Whether you are a local business, venue or activity instructor looking to reach more people or a charity needing more volunteers and fundraising support, we’ll work with you and our other partners to craft an event programme that showcases what you do to our community.

National Trust

Looking after vast areas of coastlines, countryside and green spaces, the National Trust is all about people and nature thriving together. This is why they are a perfect partner for us.

Their beautiful sites are the ideal place for Outwood Social adventures and we’re excited to explore them with you.

National Trust Stepping Stones Project

The project area covers over 200km² within the Shropshire Hills Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty (AONB), and includes two major sites of conservation importance: Long Mynd SSSI and the Stiperstones NNR.

Stepping Stones takes an innovative, landscape-scale approach to nature conservation. The aim is ecological connectivity: connecting wildlife habitats by strengthening or creating ‘stepping stones’ and corridors of habitat between and around the two core sites of Long Mynd and the Stiperstones. In practice, this means creating areas of heathland, flower-rich grassland and broadleaved woodland and linking them by a network of hedgerows, road verges, hillsides and streamside wetlands.

Currently there are three main strands to the programme: working with farmers, working with the wider local community and volunteers, and managing ‘stepping stones’ owned by the National Trust and our partner organisations.
